Extracurricular Subjects--Art, Music, Physical Education
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.” –Maria Montessori
From the earliest age children engage in art, music, and physical movement as mediums for learning and self-expression. Our extracurricular program provides adolescents opportunities in all three areas to foster their growth and self-discovery in mind and body. They use art to explore and express their experience with the world visually. They use music as a means to express their individuality, to distinguish themselves from their parents and to identify themselves with a peer group and participate in youth culture. They participate in physical play in a way that creates joy and opportunities for cooperation and healthy competition, and they learn physical fitness skills as a foundation for a lifetime of personal health.
